New Wine

Members of St George's spent a week at New Wine in Newark at the end of July.

Hosted by Ian and Nadine Parkinson, the leaders of All Saints Marple, the week included worship, teaching, ministry and an extensive programme of seminars and events. Most of the St George's group went as delegates, although some were on team.

New Wine began as the annual church conference of St Andrew's Chorleywood, but has grown to become a nationwide summer conference which is attended by around 25,000 people each year over three weeks at two sites. The youth work at New Wine grew so greatly in the early 1990s that it is now its own movement, Soul Survivor, which the youth from St George's will be attending later in the summer.
