Alpha Launch
Pioneer of the Alpha Course and Vicar of Holy Trinity Brompton, Nicky Gumbel, will be speaking at a citywide Alpha Launch event in Leeds Town Hall in October.
Many churches across Leeds have come together to host the free launch, which will include a lunchtime event and an evening event on Friday 2 October.
Former MP Jonathan Aitken will be speaking at the lunchtime event, and Nicky Gumbel will be joined by fitness guru Rosemary Conley and Big Brother winner Cameron Stout in the evening.
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed and informal environment.
St George's will be hosting two Alpha Courses this autumn; an evening course on Wednesdays beginning on 7 October, and an afternoon course for the over 60s on Thursdays beginning on 8 October. Both courses will be held in the Church Centre.
