Venue hire

The St George's Centre provides the ideal venue for your event, be it business or pleasure.

Owned by St George's Church, the multi purpose venue is conveniently situated in the heart of Leeds, and can be used for meetings, conferences and events such as wedding receptions and dinners. It was opened in October 2006 by David Hawkins, the Bishop of Barking and a previous Rector of St George's.

The centre is designed and furnished to a high specification, and was built to be used by both the church and by the local community, including companies, educational institutions and individuals. Our customers include Leeds City Council, Park Lane College, the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Forum and various government offices.

Facilities

The St George's Centre has rooms of various sizes which can accommodate between six and 120 people. The Combined Function Room is suitable for conferences and wedding receptions and can easily be partitioned off to make two smaller rooms. The Small Function Room seats up to 50 people with a conservatory attached leading to a courtyard garden area. Smaller rooms suit board/committee/breakout meetings. The centre provides easy access for the disabled as all rooms are situated on the ground floor.

The centre has its own dedicated Events Administrator who will be delighted to discuss your requirements. Most rooms have built in audio visual equipment and we can supply flipcharts and pens. We have a PA system which you can hire. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available by arrangement and a choice of buffet style lunches can be ordered. With a spacious kitchen, outside catering can easily be arranged. Bookings can be made for daytime and evenings.

The church building, which has a seating capacity of 375-400, is also available to hire for large scale events.
