Members of the St George's Church staff team introduce themselves in their own words.

Chris Sayburn
"
I'm Chris Sayburn. I have a beautiful wife Cat, and we have a young son called Jacob, who is a massive (although noisy) blessing!

Cat and I are from the land of glory that is known as Blackpool! Jacob however was born as missionary in Leeds.

We are both really excited to be part of St G's and its vision. My role as pastoral assistant will involve: leading musical worship, equipping young people in worship, assisting Beth with youth work and generally being the "token" northerner!

Before I was a Christian I was a bit of a "one" I messed school up got no GCSE's and turned to drink, I tried to impress girls (it never did work!) and ended up getting into scuffs and joyriding. To cut a long story short I gave God a chance and never turned back! From there was birthed a passion to see God worshipped and a desire to see young people find true life in its fullness.

I am a massive Blackpool FC fan (Lord have mercy) and still have the faith that one day we will win the premiership! (what you laughing at!?) Other hobbies other than football include; Writing songs, Paintballing, Snooker, Pool, Golf, Tennis, Table Tennis, Go-Karting, Bowling (ten pin) and going the Pub! (Mine’s a lager if you're ever getting one in!)"
