At St George’s we are passionate about giving glory and praise to God by worshipping him through music and song.

For many people, worshipping God in this way is an essential part of their individual spiritual walk, but it’s also an important part of our meeting together as Christians. We believe in keeping a contemporary edge to our worship while at the same time holding onto the best of our rich heritage of Christian songs and hymns. We believe God loves our worship whatever the style – rock, classical, Taize, traditional, etc. - and we try to keep it fresh, relevant and challenging.

If you're a musician or singer who worships regularly at St George's and you feel called to be involved in music ministry, then please make yourself known to us. There are many ways to be involved – it could be upfront in one of the three Sunday worship bands at St.George’s Church; at Community Church, house group or prayer meetings – or in an occasional band or choir put together for a special event.

The regular worship bands - for the morning, evening and family worship services - are very welcoming of new members. As an aspiring member we'd like to get to know you first and together try to discern the best way to use your gifts. We know that the level of commitment that people can offer varies from just about every week to just occasionally; the needs of St George’s for musicians and singers varies from time to time as well.

So if you are a musician or singer of a good standard (and we are not talking professional here!) and have a passion for music and worship then please email Ian Warner at music@stgeorgesleeds.org.uk or contact him through the church office on 0113 2438498.
