Mission has been described as everything that the Church is sent into the world to do (John 20:21). It is the policy of St George's to encourage and help all its members to become involved in World Mission.

Some former members are now in full time Christian service overseas, and are linked to us as Mission Partners. We aim to keep in touch and support them in their work - see map below for locations.

We pray by name for Mission Partners, those training for Mission, and Ordinands, at our services each Sunday. To learn more about their work, there is a Mission Partners meeting each month, which is also an opportunity for helping by prayer.

Part of the regular income of our church is used towards the support of Mission Partners. It is also possible to contribute personally to this (see the Give to God page), or any other mission work in which you are interested.

There are now many openings for Christians of all ages to take part in the action by means of short term service, mission projects, or even by a holiday visit to a Mission Partner.

Members of the Mission Sub Committee are glad to talk with anyone with connections to St George's who is considering training or entering a new area of Christian service, either at home or abroad.

For further information about any of the above please contact the church office.
