The aims and objectives of St George's are inspired by the song of Mary, the Magnificat. The words are expressed in a song, 'My Soul Magnifies The Lord', which was written by Mark Pallant, a member of St George's.

My soul magnifies the Lord
And my spirit rejoices in my Saviour

For he has done great things
Holy is his name!

He has looked down upon me with compassion
For he loved me before I was created
He takes great delight in his servant
And sings over me with joy

He has scorned the wise and their wisdom

To know the power of God

For those who fear him lack nothing
But how hard it is for the rich man
To enter the kingdom of God

For the Lord is my strength and my song
He has also become my salvation
