Roots Pray for Our City

LottieLottie Jones, Youth Pastor, shares how our Network for 11-18's, Roots, are reaching out to Love Leeds.

"Prayer changes things; God loves Leeds."

How are Roots reaching out to Love Leeds? On Sunday we looked at the book of Daniel and how he interceded on behalf of the nation. Within that we decided to get practical and intercede for our city. Roots got praying for Leeds! We prayed for different areas we know are a problem in the city; addiction; poverty; division; loneliness. As a Network, we are committed to praying for Leeds and we have Cottingley impact week coming up soon too, where we will love Leeds in more practical ways.

Why it's important to engage our Young People in prayer for the city? Prayer changes things; God loves Leeds. We need to be praying for the things that God wants to see change in. It is our calling as Disciples of Christ.  Sunday really helped our young people to look outwards and believe God, who hears our prayers, is at work in the city of Leeds!

What can StG's pray for Roots? For growth in community, passion for Jesus and a heart for the things that are on God's heart.
