WELCOME STUDENTS!
We are so glad you’re here. Well done for finding us.
Whether you are returning for your fifth year or this is your first time away from home, we hope you'll find a warm welcome here. We want you to feel like part of the family.
There are undergraduate students from all of Leeds' universities (including international students) who call St George’s home. We gather to worship Jesus, work out how to follow him and seek to make a difference in the world around us. Our student community makes up a large proportion of the 1830 service on Sunday evenings and we play our part in many different areas of St George's, e.g. kids' work, musical worship, work with the homeless and overseas mission.
We want St George's to become a home from home for you, whether you're a lifelong Christian or brand new to the whole 'church thing'. We long to see Jesus make an impact in universities, halls of residence, clubs, societies, and student houses. We also want to be a place where people can make friends, ask questions and explore faith for themselves. If you’re up for any of this, the best way to join in is to come along to Student Teas or the 1830 Service. It would be great to get you plugged into St George's. We hope to see you soon!
Student Teas
17:30, Sundays
Come along for home cooked food, where you can find community, have good chats and bring your friends.
Join us in St George’s Centre every week in term time, before heading up to the 18:30 service together.
It's £2 for 2 courses, free your first time! Vegan & Gluten free food available.
Student Night
19:30 - Thursdays
Every other week we gather in church to catch-up, enjoy snacks, praise Jesus, pray together and have interactive workshop-style teaching.
You’ll be invited to join a student small group so that you can get to know 8-10 people well and feel really part of the community!
For the weeks we are not in church all together, small groups gather in homes to study the bible together.
